The Origins of
Kente Cloth

Although the exact origins of kente are lost in time, the colorful patterned fabrics known as kente can be traced back to the Asante people of the Akan kingdom in what is now Ghana. The word "kente" actually translates to "handwoven cloth" in the Twi language of the Akan people.

Kente is deep-rooted in Ghanaian culture and can be found in West African communities all around the world.

"I bought 5 different designs which arrived yesterday and they are all beautiful. I am planning to give some as gifts but it's going to be hard to part with any of them! Thank you Danielle for your friendly and professional service."

"My experience has been wonderful. I love the personal touch to your work. I am a very creative person and it's always nice to have that contact when someone creates such beautiful work to compliment them.

It's been a great experience! Thank you."
